Bosnia, for most Dutch the name takes us back to a black page of the Dutch UN battalion history. Twenty years after the civil war, the country is cautiously starting to flirt with tourism.
Bosnië-Herzegovina – Not easy though, our various guides admit. The country is fantastic and unspoilt. Very suitable for winter sports and summer hikes but the infrastructure is not everywhere up to standard and some mountains are inaccessible because of the danger of mines. Adriatic Holidays, run by Dutch Bosnians, invited us to explore their country: Bosnia

That invitation we took gladly and off we went to a country still pristine and rough. And the people? Very friendly. We take you to the eastern part between Tuzla and Sarajevo in Bosnia in the Picture.
